EcoTrough lid options

Interchangeable GRP and polymer lids help match cover performance to each part of a cable route.

Lid options

Protection specified place by place.

An interchangeable cover system gives you flexibility across a cable route. A pedestrian route, maintenance area or vehicle crossing may each call for a different lid specification.

EcoTrough offers GRP grating and polymer solid top covers. These materials and their end-of-life routes should be considered separately.

Cover choices

Choose the cover for the conditions.

Explore the three EcoTrough lid families. The final specification depends on load, surface use and how the trough is installed.

GRP grating open mesh lids

GRP grating open mesh lids

An open mesh GRP grating option for locations where drainage, grip and easy handling matter. The finished cover lid is 50 mm thick; colour and current test evidence can be discussed for the project.

GRP grating solid top lids

GRP grating solid top lids

A solid top GRP grating option combining a covered surface with low weight and durable performance. The finished cover lid is 50 mm thick; confirm the selected panel and current test evidence for the intended use.

Heavy duty polymer solid top lids

Heavy duty polymer solid top lids

A solid top polymer cover option being developed for more demanding areas. Ask for current test evidence and installation guidance before specifying it for traffic.

Current product information

Cover design and testing.

The supplied assembly drawing shows a 50 mm GRP grating lid above a separate cable trough support lid. Finished cover lids are 50 mm thick across the range. The structural support lid is a separate component and should be checked against its own drawing.

Cover configurations are being developed with A15, B125, C250 and D400 loading categories in view. These are development targets, not completed classifications or approval for road use. Testing is continuing, and suitability depends on the specified cover, supporting construction and installation.

Specify with confidence

Loading is a project decision.

Heavy duty polymer lid options are being developed for different loading needs. Do not specify a pedestrian or vehicle application without current test evidence for the chosen cover, supporting construction and installation method.

Send us the expected traffic, ground conditions and route detail so the cover can be considered as part of the whole assembly.
